Biodegradable plastic-free food-grade paper box

Biodegradable fluorine-free food-grade paper box uses Biodegradable fluorine-free food grade coatings and paper materials, and Biodegradable fluorine-free food grade coatings have biodegradable reports from SGS and non-toxic detection reports from SVHC. The product does not have plastic film, but it can bring excellent physical properties such as high and low temperature resistance, heat sealing, barrier and wear resistance to the box. At the same time, it can help reduce the cost and difficulty of product recovery. We are able to provide suitable solutions according to customer requirements.

WHAT IS BIODEGRADABLE FLUORINE-FREE FOOD-GRADE COATING?

          Biodegradable fluorine-free food-grade coating has passed the SVHC test by SGS and the biodegradable testing by SGS. Its advantages are heat sealable, gas barrier, liquid barrier, wear resistance, high and low resistance and biodegradable. And its use method is simple, does not need to change the original production equipment and facilities, can be used on the original equipment. The application of biodegradable fluorine-free food-grade coatings on packaging can reduce or replace the use of plastic materials, and can reduce the difficulty and cost of product recycling.

●BIODEGRADABLE●

         What we do is to test the degradation of individual materials, not to improve the degradation rate by testing the degradation of finished products or semi-finished products. 

          ------Test method

         Two groups of blank control(BLK), one group of positive control(PC), two groups of test sample(TS)and one group of toxicity control(TC were set for the test.The solutions were prepared as follows:

         BLK: 30 ml 3 g/L Sludge solution;

         PC: 30 ml 3 g/L Sludge solution + 10 ml sodium benzoate stock solution;

         TS: 30 ml 3 g/L Sludge solution + 18 ml sample stock solution;

         TC: 30 ml 3 g/L Sludge solution + 10 ml sodium benzoate stock solution + 18 ml sample stock solution;

          ------Test results

          As showed in the attached table 1-3 and figure 1, at the beginning of the experiment, the content of inorganic carbon and total carbon in the culture medium were 157.3 ㎍/L and 4.26 mg/L respectively. At the end of the experiment, the total amount of CO2 evolved in the blank control group was 46.83 mg/L, and the temperature was kept between 22.1℃ and 23.4℃. The biodegradability of the positive control group was 68.77% by day 14. The biodegradability of the toxicity test group was 46.85% by day 14. The difference of extremes of replicate values of the biodegradation at the plateau, at the end of the test and at the end of the 10-d window, was less than 20%. 

          ------Test conclusion

          Under the experimental condition, the average biodegradation rate of 10-d window was 52.42%. The average biodegradation rate of the tested sample was 84.68% after 28 days.

          The composite of plastic and paper can improve the physical properties of the product such as barrier and heat sealing, but the plastic composite paper material is difficult to recycle and degrade, increasing the cost of recycling.

HOW ABOUT PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF BIODEGRADABLE FLUORINE-FREE FOOD-GRADE COATING

          Biodegradable fluorine-free food-grade coating can better replace the heat sealing of plastic, so that the paper is well bonded together under heating, and the product can reduce the use of plastic or no plastic. In order to know its heat sealing strength, we have done a set of tests, and we can invite customers to apply for samples to test themselves. After heat sealing, we hang 5KG of sand on the Biodegradable fluorine-free food-grade coating paper bag for a week, coating can keep the hot sealing place from breaking or cracking.

          Without any plastic material. Biodegradable fluorine-free food-grade coating combine with paper or aluminum foil paper has excellent gas barrier performance. We completed the test of two schemes, respectively, the composite of paper and coating, and the composite of aluminum paper and coating.The WVTR and O2TR are shown in the figure above. We can also improve the material scheme according to the customer's data requirements.

          Oil proof(silicone oil) paper(current market product) can achieve 6-8 grade.

          Normal and high temperature oil on the oil proof paper within a fixed time,the paper has a large amount of oil stains.(The result is shown in the figure below)

          Biodegradable fluorine-free food-grade coating has high and low temperature resistance, from 180 degrees to minus -30 degrees will not change the performance of the product, and can be used without changing the production equipment of the customer.
